Geoffrey and I are building art installations as we travel the country. Our first stop was Virginia Beach. A friend Janis has a great farm house on a big piece of property in the country. There is a path through the back woods that leads to an inlet off back bay. After canoeing through the system of inlets and creeks, we were inspired by the cypress knees.
After mentioning them to Janis and hearing her loving response, we knew we had the right idea. We used scraps from a tin ceiling in their house and made a little world off the path. I thought it would make a great transition from the land to the water.
